3585 miles since Jan 1 and that's with 1.5 months off (almost no riding) while unemployed!

I didn't see your entry in the spreadsheet, so I added it for you... Next time I'll charge you. My billable rate is $75/hr.

I just made this using the current sheet. I'll probably make another one in June so if you want to be included next time, post your miles to the chart by the end of the first week in June. The only people that are in this list are ones who have mileage posted for January AND April, and I didn't include non-motorcycles.

Looks like I have some catching up to do.

Hopefully you'll learn how to use the Internets by June so that I can add them in.

The internets scare me. I hear they're dangerous. More dangerous than whoolies!

Exclamation Culling inactive participants
We now have a situation that needs addressing... There are many participants in this survey who have provided insufficient information.

In my opinion, those that have provided information for February only should be removed due to inactivity unless they can provide January 1st & April 1st mileage data immediately.

Participants to be removed:
  • David Davenport
  • GixxerJeff
  • jasongind
  • lagwagonlead
  • Thaloc

The participants who have provided information for January and not for April have 6 days to provide their latest mileage or they, too, will be removed from this survey due to lack of participation.

Participants in jeopardy:
  • Bluehaze
  • Bouncer
  • cityxslicker
  • Cooley
  • CpjMech
  • Devil_Doc
  • FireDave
  • Shaney_G
  • shelbyguy
  • Stash
  • TheBasque
  • Toucan
  • Willow
  • YotaSupra

I will send private messages to the above listed participants directing them to this post.

I didnt get the pics of the odo on the first of the year for either of the bikes. so since I dont have the pics to prove it, I suppose I am out.
though it is time to change Oil, tires and brakes since January, so I must be doing something out there.

If you have some form of proof, such as a document with your odometer readings from approximately January 1st, you could use that. I myself have used a dealer's maintenance paperwork which indicated mileage. We are all adults here and gain nothing from cheating on a simple survey.

Not sure what happened, but the date you input in the form is funky... I'll fix it.

I guess I missed something. We have to provide monthly mileage? I thought this was over the whole year?

Yes; per the first post...
Relevant section quoted and emphasized here for your benefit:

Jan 1st, anyone who wants to join in, posts up a pic of their odometer for proof of mileage. I'd say put it next to the daily paper or something to prove date but I think we can deal without that, its all for fun anyhow!

At the 1st of each consecutive month, post up a pic of your odometer, tallying miles for that month and total miles for the year. Maybe we'll figure out a prize, but for now its all just for the fun of it.
In my opinion, quarterly updates would be better than having folks drop out... So if you didn't track the prior months, please at least submit quarterly updates. fstenuf seems to be in agreement with this based on his lack of rebuttal to my suggesting this previously.

I have adapted my spreadsheet formulas to deal with this... If you begin submitting monthly or quarterly updates, the program will cope.

Agreed, thanks again for makin this run so smooth Paul. If people want to do quarterly or whatever, its all fine by me, its all in fun. I'll try and update monthly just to see where im at but again, quarterly works well too.

Paul, go ahead and leave in anyones data who posted their Jan1 mileage, we'll get to see it all at Dec 31st just to see who made what over the year, just fun to watch progress as well.

That is an interesting problem that I did not anticipate... I guess I figured that anybody would be able to access the simple form on spreadsheets.google.com.

If you cannot, posting here is sufficient.
A PM giving me a heads-up would be appreciated.
The rest of you had better not try to make me do your work.

I agree that monthly updates are good to see where we're all at...

I will not remove anyone with complete data... In fact, since changing the formulas there is less of a problem with leaving all data intact.

However, it would be more fun and interesting to have a lot of participation... I guess there's always next year.

I hope it's not a problem to start in April. I don't know what my mileage was at the beginning of the year. I know it was lower, but I'm going to play the game from here onward. I submitted it to the Google form and here are my pics.

OK I updated the my mileage for the 3 bikes on the spreadsheet. The FZ6 & KLR haven't had any miles put on them yet...guess the 675 is more fun to ride, lol.

Ha ha.. You keep riding with Mike and that number is going to be much, much higher. You'll also spend a fortune on tires.

Yeah, tell me about it. Work filters call it a "download". Work email will also reject recieving or sending any email that contains profanity, and will forward it to IT for "review". Big Brother is watching you...

Dude you rock with the charts To bad all of April is a big zero for me as I am in Georgia for school and no bike that I own. Can I use miles I accumulate on borrowed bikes while I am down here?

I would be OK with you reporting miles on borrowed bikes as long as your records were accurate.

Miles are miles as far as I'm concerned. Still go with the pics when you can and the make/model. Though I think Georgia is an unfair advantage, as you surely must be getting more warm, sunny weather there!

So would it be too late for me to join in? I found out about this tonight at the bike night. I haven't ridden but 4 or 5 times since November 11th. I will be riding my 08 Hayabusa and 08 FJR. I don't have pics from January, not that it would matter since I have only ridden less than 200 miles so far this year.

Wellllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll, I suppose. Just post up current mileage and put it into the spreadsheet (on the first page) and we'll count ya in Doug.
